If eating/Instagramming hand-dipped, gold-flecked ice cream pops is something you're into, I'd highly recommend taking a trip to the Magnum NYC dipping bar.
The entire space is social media gold. Six well-lit photoboxes practically beg you to snap some #FoodInTheAir shots. You'll gawk at the bedazzled ice cream bar sculptures and the Manhattan skyline made of popsicle sticks as you stand in line behind tourists taking selfies on their iPads.

Disclaimer: I waited over a half hour in pursuit of the aforementioned gold-dusted ice cream.
...At 4:30 PM on a Wednesday.
...On the same day that I had an Aussie Iced Latte (ice cream + milk + coffee) for breakfast and froyo for dinner.
Anyway, the ice cream. It's sort of like the Chipotle of bougie desserts. In assembly line fashion, you pick your ice cream / coating / toppings / drizzle. The toppings range from the basic (chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows) to the bizarre (culinary rose petals, espresso sugar), and are scooped into a mini cocktail shaker before being carefully deposited onto your bar's molten chocolate coating.
I went for the vanilla ice cream bar with dark chocolate coating, topped with fruity pebbles, marshmallows, and gold flecks (duh), and finished off with a milk chocolate drizzle. I followed the signage that directed me to the photoboxes to take pictures of my ice cream before I bit into it, before saying "screw it" and heading outside for some good old fashioned natural light.

Was it good ice cream? Sure - the freshness and topping selection definitely upped the ante. Was it fun? 100%. Will I run back tomorrow? Probably not.
